We are thrilled to welcome a collection of water colors by noted artist Martin Sumers. This series of vibrant portraits display the intriguing abstract expressionist style that garnered acclaim for the late Sumers.
Martin Sumers was born in New York City in 1922 and was trained at the University of Pennsylvania. His work gained a following across New York and New Jersey during the late 1960s, shown most notably in the Hudson River Museum, the Montclair Art Museum, and The Pratt Institute Print Collection.

Sumers passed away in 2012, and the striking body of work that filled his estate are just recently hitting the secondary market. Weisshouse is fortunate to offer a series of 6 framed nudes that are certain to become a valuable collector's item as Sumers reputation continues to grow.
