LA Pride | Cisco Brothers Furniture

Weisshouse is dedicated to making sure our product lines reflect our own values: beauty, quality, and sustainability. We love to help our clients find antique rugs that will last for many lifetimes, or discover the perfect midcentury piece that has provided elegant storage for decades. When searching for modern upholstery that share these virtues, we were fortunate to partner with Cisco Brothers, a California based furniture company known for their attention to detail and their use of sustainable and organic materials.

This L.A. outfit brushed off the temptation to move production overseas to China, and has spent the last 25 years growing their business locally to build a sustainable community. Using green materials and building methods, including soy based foam and FSC certified domestic maple, their furniture is "as healthy for you as it is for the planet." Luckily for us, it's also pretty easy on the eyes! Read on to see why we're stuck on Cisco.

Fabulous Fabrics

During our recent trip to High Point market, we were excited to explore the new line of textiles launched by Cisco Brothers. Their collection of globally inspired textiles, designed by Creative Director Maurishka Pinedo, boast rich indigo hues and patterns inspired by world travels.

The vignettes Cisco created using these fabrics are rich and layered, marrying stylish frames with subdued  patterns to deliver a lush bohemian look. A selection of one of a kind pieces bring new life to vintage kilim rugs and make for incredible benches and chairs.

Smart Styling

Much like our own crew of designers, Maurishka Pinedo describes her showroom styling as "not very technical in the way that we design our space." Their High Point haven was sprinkled with reclaimed wood and incredible vintage accents. These details add warmth and history that you just won't find in mass-produced accessories.

Cisco Brothers instills true craftsmanship in every piece of furniture, and Weisshouse is eager to share the fruits of their labor to our Pittsburgh community. From one family-run business to another, visit Weisshouse to experience the art of these West Coast wonders.
